Philosophy:
We believe in the connection among mental, emotional, social and physical well-being. Our goal is to facilitate student understanding of this connection, as well as to develop a working knowledge of various Physical Education and Health related concepts. We encourage behaviors that minimize health risks and enhance overall well being. We also strive to provide the students with the necessary skills to make informed life decisions that will enable them to lead happy, healthy and physically fit lives.
Our Game Is Learning…You Must Play If You Are To Win!!
Medical Excuses:
To allow your child the maximum opportunities for development and fun we need your help. When your child feels ill, is slightly injured, etc., please send in a note allowing your child to do the best they can. This gives the individual student an opportunity to continue to have fun and interact with his/her friends while further reinforcing the importance of the activity. We ALWAYS have your child sit down when they feel they have done all they can. Medical excuses will not affect your child’s grade.
When a note states No Phys. Ed. your child misses out on the entire class, rather then a small part. Maybe they can still stretch with us, or walk during our fitness unit. We simply don’t want them to be excluded if there is something they can be involved with during class. We are here for your child. If you have a concern or question please don’t hesitate to call us here at the middle school.
